A Little History

Penny trained as an Occupational Therapist in Derbyshire in England. She successfully completed her training there in June of 1987.

For several years following graduation, Penny provided Occupational Therapy services to various community based facilities in and around the UK - including: the District's Child Development Centre, group homes, residential day and respite care facilities for the developmentally disabled and the elderly, hospitals, schools and client homes in the local community.

In January of 1994, Penny permanently relocated to Canada. Once in Canada, Penny immediately resumed her work as an Occupational Therapist providing services to children and adults within various government run programs (eg. School Health, Veterans Affairs Canada, Assistive Devices and Community Adults & Pediatrics). She also worked within publically funded programs such as motor vehicle accident rehabilitation and private payee services.

Back in 2008, Penny established a Private Practice in Occupational Therapy that serves to provide Occupational Therapy Services to those that live in the Niagara through to Toronto area. It is this degree of 'varied' experience that has enabled Penny to provide her clients with a much needed and well rounded approach to her clients overall treatment and care.

Philosophy
Penny believes whole heartedly that individuals with learning and/or, physical challenges deserve improved opportunities for success and enjoyment in their daily lives. It is hoped that 'Penny Doncaster Occupational Therapy Services' can be at least part of - bettering the lives of children and adults affected by special circumstances.
